- 83% of students achieved 5 or more A*-C grades including English and Maths

A new key indicator in school league tables will be not just the attainment of pupils, but the progress they make from whatever starting point they begin with. Our average pupil progress across all their GCSEs is also excellent and significantly above the national average.
We have been on a really exciting journey growing from a small Leicestershire High School to educating our pupils all the way up to Year 11 and GCSE. I am delighted with our results and I am immensely grateful to all our parents and pupils who put their faith in Saint Martin’s to deliver a high quality education to the age of 16. There were some remarkable performances with over 10% of our pupils achieving 8 or more A*s and As, they include: Carina Barber, our highest achieving student, achieved 9 A*s and 2 As. Other students who also achieved 8 or more A*s and As were: Phoebe Edmundson, Lilli Kirkcaldy, Larcia Tsang, Nikhil Rathod, Nikhita Rathod, James Walker, Luke Meyrick and Lucas Fernadez Sarmiento. Our key drive has been to ensure that all pupils, especially those who may struggle academically, are able to achieve, turning Es into Bs and Cs.
Alongside these remarkably high results, there are numerous examples of students who excelled themselves. Our first Year 11s have been a wonderful group of students to know and teach and they deserve the great results they achieved. Well done for your superb work over the last two years and we wish each of our former students our best wishes, thoughts and prayers into the future.
