Richard III Commemorations![]() A huge thank you for all those who came along to the funeral cortège of Richard III in Dadlington on Sunday. Our pupils formed the guard of honour as Richard the Third’s coffin processed through the village. Saint Martin’s pupils also produced some beautiful art work and four of our students read out some remarkably well composed poems on the Battle of Bosworth theme. Our students did us proud (as ever) and have shared in a unique and remarkable piece of history that they will one day be able to share with their grandchildren. See our Facebook feed for some photos of the day. On Thursday, Eleanor and Jack, our Head Boy and Girl, will be attending the internment service at Leicester Cathedral, representing the school as the nearest Secondary School to the famous Battle site. BBC School Report![]() Last week also saw Saint Martin’s pupils participating in the BBC School Report. The library was turned into a TV studio for the day and students went all over the school, Stoke Golding and Dadlington interviewing people about the Richard III event. Paris and George were excellent News Anchors and all our interviewers and production team did well. Click on the BBC School Report image for the BBC website edited version.
