We have also been awarded a grant by the British Council to develop a link with a school overseas. We have partnered up with a sister Dominican School, Saint Dominic’s just outside Harare, Zimbabwe. The school was founded by the same South African Kings William Town Dominican Sisters who founded Saint Martin’s in the 1940s. Mrs Lynch-Kelly and Mr Noon will be going out to Zimbabwe next week. They will also be linking up with an orphanage that we hope to be to support as a school community. The Mother of Peace Orphanage was set up in 1994 to help orphans living with or affected AIDS/HIV. We are taking out some gifts for the children, if students have any football shirts they have out grown, Saint Martin’s Polo shirts or would like to donate pens, pencils or writing pads, please bring them into school on Monday or Tuesday.
We finish on Friday July 10th 2015 at 1.30pm. Happy Holidays!
