Direct Instruction

Direct Instruction is a programme designed to enable pupils who struggle with basic literacy and numeracy to catch up with their peers. It is a highly structured course that enables children to catch up rapidly enabling them to become proficient in reading, writing and basic mathematics. For more detailed information click here 

3 Training Programme

Day 4

• SENDCO: How Direct meets EHCP and IEP objectives.
• Working through Pupil Premium documents and completing evidence to to impact. How to use DI via Pupil Premium.
• SEN and PEP funding and inclusion on a school website.

Day 5

• Supporting the Heads of Department (Maths and English) to map out the curriculum gaps between DI and core.
  
• Provision planning for Maths and English candidates at KS4.
