Support, advice and CPD

We are more than happy to offer support, general advice or visits to Saint Martin's.
For more specific training or CPD, we also offer a number of packages:

General Support

We welcome visits, general support and advice to teachers or schools who are intrigued or want to implement a Knowledge Curriculum. We are only a few years in to implementing this approach but we are happy to share what we have learnt and link you in with a network of people who may help. 

IMPLEMENTING a knowledge Curriculum

We can provide detailed planning, staff training and implementation. We are currently working with the Midland Academy Trust to raise attainment through the implementation of a Knowledge Curriculum and related strategies in their four secondary schools. 

Direct instruction

​Direct Instruction is a programme designed to enable pupils who struggle with basic literacy and numeracy to catch up with their peers. It is a highly structured course that enables children to catch up rapidly enabling them to become proficient in reading, writing and basic mathematics.

Subject support & training

At the heart of this approach is providing a curriculum where all pupils learn at a more ambitious level than a conventional curriculum.  Studying Ovid through to sophisticated scriptural exegesis in Year 7. We offer subject support and resources for departments who do not have the time to develop their own resources.
