M20 Team

M20 Team is our anti-bullying student group run with 20 Year 8 and 9 student ‘Mentors’ who, working in pairs, are available all day every day of the school week. They support the student community here at St. Martin's with many issues, not just bullying, these include: low self-esteem, homework worries, friendship issues, and support for the new Year intake.
Over the years the team has won a county competition for producing an anti-bullying DVD. This was filmed to the music ‘Caught in the Crowd’.
Other awards include the Princess Diana Award, rewarding all the good work done to the community, the 2012 county competition for designing an anti-bullying postcard. Central news have been across to interview our M20 team on more than one occasion, resulting in St. Martin’s making the evening news.
The M20 team also get involved in transition visits with Key Stage 2 children, where they do presentations and distribute hand-designed leaflets.
The M20 team meet monthly and are trained by ‘Next Generation’ and ‘HBCC’.
