Thursday, 3rd November 2016 Year 10 students spent the day at the University of Cambridge; visiting both Pembroke College and the Whipple Museum of the History of Science. Although, it was not a Science Day it was an opportunity for students to learn from objects and artefacts from one of the university’s Teaching Collections. One aim of the visit is to provide an introduction to the ways that students learn at the University in addition to attending lectures and doing independent research. Also, there was a talk about post-16 choices and advice that will enable them to put themselves in a good position when it comes to university applications. Once again, it was an inspiring day for all.
