On Thursday 3rd May we held our annual Mini Marathon event at St. Martin’s.
This event sees all of our students completing a one mile course around our school fields. Traditionally, this used to be our main Lenten charity fundraiser. However, because of a number of other charity events during Lent this year, the event was moved to the Summer term and money was raised for the P.E Department, to provide new equipment, kit and sporting opportunities for our students.
The P.E department were very pleased with everyone’s efforts on the field and there were some brilliant races and times. Our winners were:
Year 7 – Ellie Ibbitson 7:26.00 and Joe Pointon 6:25.00
Year 8 – Macy Eburne 7:11.00 and James Tansey 6:44.00
Year 9 – Carys O Reilly 6:37.00 and Seth Dewfield/Nathan McClelland 6:27.00
Year 10 – Tamera Deacon-Stobbs 6:51.00 and Seth Maton-Marshall 6:32.00
Year 11 – Hannah Borley and Kieren Coleman-Smith 5:10.00
Through the non-uniform day and sponsorship, you raised a total of £3231.50
Thank you so much to everyone who contributed, especially to our highest fundraisers – Jack Deacon, Greg Mather and Brandon Lee!
