5 year 10 students entered a competition from the Royal Society of Biology at Leicester University on Saturday 10th April.
The theme of the competition was “Mental health Matters”. To enter, students had to produce a poster on any topic relevant to the theme and then stand and defend their work to 4 judges. This took place in the George Davies Centre – a brand new state of the art building for medical sciences. Parents and students took part in a day of mini-talks, lectures and of course competition judging.
The entrants were:
Emma Palmer and Tallia Jamelynec
Elena Chamberlain and Martha Vickers
There was tough competition with 21 entrants from a wide range of schools, including Leicester Grammar school and Loughborough High School. So we were extremely pleased when Callum achieved third place.
Our students completed this work completely independently and to a very high standard and we are very proud that they participated in this event.
