Saint Martin's Information Evening
Moving to secondary school is such an important moment in your son or daughter's life so, despite the restrictions, we still wanted to give you a flavour of life at Saint Martin's, share an insight into what we offer as a school and give prospective parents an opportunity to ask questions.
Saint Martin’s is a very successful 11-16 Secondary school and we offer a very traditional education founded upon Christian values. We serve our local communities of Hinckley, Earl Shilton and surrounding villages. Although a Catholic school, we welcome people of all faiths who want an education that is committed to nurturing children in order to become moral, kind, well-mannered and hard-working individuals.
We have high expectations of all our pupils and a challenging academic curriculum. Never-the-less, we believe young people, whatever their back ground or ability, are entitled to ‘Learn the best that has been thought and said’, pupils will study everything from ancient literature to Renaissance art. Children become successful academically through exemplary teaching, commitment and hard work. We expect this from all our pupils.
We are having a series of Information Evenings which will include a short presentation from the Head Teacher, Mr Wright, and a chance to ask questions. Each event will be limited to 30 families, three maximum per family. They will be in the hall and each family group will be socially distanced.
