Updates page
Online learning
This is an updates page for whilst we are closed for most pupils. During this time it is really important that pupils continue with their studies. To do this we have the following resources and support:
- Knowledge Books - pupils can read through these, memorise and learn key ideas and facts.
- St Martin's Online Learning - teacher will be putting on lots of resources and useful links to help pupils to learn at home https://stmartins.sharepoint.com/sites/stmartinsonline/
- All pupils now have email and can contact teachers via their email https://outlook.office.com/mail/inbox
- We are also looking at other ways to use technology to teach pupils.

Government guidance
Latest updates https://www.gov.uk/government/news/coronavirus-update
Further to recent communication and letters sent out over the past few days, the government has asked parents to keep their children at home, wherever possible, and asked schools to remain open only for those children who absolutely need to attend. Parents whose work is critical to the COVID-19 response are in the key worker category, however many parents working in these sectors may be able to ensure their child is kept at home. And every child who can be safely cared for at home should be. If parents’ work is critical to the COVID-19 response, or they work in one of the critical sectors listed, and they cannot keep their child safe at home then their children should be prioritised for education provision.
Similarly, if you believe your child should fall under the vulnerable category and haven’t been contacted by letter, please inform the school at the earliest opportunity to resolve the situation.
Further updates will follow as soon as we receive them.
God bless, look after each other.
