To raise money to support our Year 7 Bookbuzz Project, new books for the library and our future library refurbishment, we held a Harry Potter themed disco on World Book Day, Thursday 6^th March.

Fancy dress was encouraged, with both staff and students joining in with the fun.  Our hall became Hogwarts along with all the spoils of Diagon Alley – Honeydukes sweet shop, Olivanders wand shop and The Leaky Cauldron for beverages.

We have made over £300 in profit and counting, there are still some sweets for sale in the library.  This has allowed us to sign-up to Bookbuzz for next year’s new starters; Mrs Wells will be taking a group of students into Hinckley to buy some books for the library and £50 as a starting point for a future library refurbishment (we will be holding more events/fundraising activities for this in the near future).
