As the Governing Body of a Catholic Voluntary Academy there is a duty to ensure that Saint Martin’s is a community where Gospel values, and the Catholic faith, permeate every facet of its life and work.
The Governing Body is responsible for raising expectations, being a critical friend to the academy and holding it to account. It makes decisions, reviews, supports and encourages the academy in its strategic direction. Governors have statutory responsibilities and the role the Governing Body plays in the academy is a vital one.
In an innovative and vibrant academy such as St. Martin’s the pace of change is quick, constant and involves a breadth of activities. We attempt to link particular governor interests or expertise to specific area of academy development.
The Governing Body is pleased to welcome Associate as well as Elected Governors.
