The Duke of Edinburgh Award is a voluntary, non-competitive programme of practical and adventurous activities. Designed to support the personal and social development of young people, regardless of gender, background or ability, the DofE experience offers our students challenge: encouraging young people to undertake exciting, constructive, challenging and enjoyable activities in their own time. During the course of the DofE, students will complete four sections: Volunteering, Physical, Skill and Expedition. We offer the Bronze level every November for Year 9 students. Further information is sent out via Parentpay in October each year.

BENEFITS

The Duke of Edinburgh Award is widely recognised by employers as well as for applications to further and higher education institutions. If your child is thinking of going to university or taking up an apprenticeship, completing the DofE is a great qualification and asset to be able to add to their  CV to impress. It gives young people the opportunity to develop self-confidence and self-reliance in a team environment.
