Saint Martin’s Catholic Academy is situated in the lovely village of Stoke Golding, to get here however means that most pupils will require transport. If any parents or prospective parents need advice on this, please do not hesitate to contact the school.  For those students entitled to a free bus pass please contact the Local Authority (0116 305 8777) as these cannot be obtained from Beaver Bus.

SAINT MARTIN’S MINI BUS

We have an academy bus which transports pupils to a number of local villages not covered by Beaver Bus.

WALKING

Walking to Saint Martin’s – We encourage local students to walk to academy where possible. Students are expected to behave in a responsible way and to observe road safety rules at all times. There is now a crossing next to the school for pupils going back into the village.

CYCLING

If a student is allowed to cycle to school we strongly recommend they wear an appropriate helmet.

BY CAR

With the increasing numbers of students transported to Saint Martin’s by car, we would urge parents to consider sharing lifts whenever possible. When collecting pupils from school, the car park is available for parents. The car park is supervised at the end of the day and there is an in/out system in order to keep the flow of traffic efficient. Many parents pick their children up 10 minutes or so after the bell which means they can usually drive in and collect without having to park at all.

(NB: The staff car-park is not to be used for dropping off or collecting students.)
